Fresh I've come from Sandgate Street, Dolly, Dolly
My best friends there to meet, Dollia
Chorus (after each verse):
Dolly de-dillen-dol, Dolly, Dolly
Dolly de-dillen-dol, Dollia
And the Black Cuffs are gone away, Dolly, Dolly
That'll be a crying day, Dollia
Dolly Coxon's pawned her socks, Dolly, Dolly
To ride upon a baggage cart, Dol-li-a
And the Green Cuffs are coming in, Dolly, Dolly
That'll make the lasses sing, Dollia
So it's fresh I've come from Sandgate Street, Dolly, Dolly
My best friends there to meet, Dollia

William Taylor has enlisted
For a soldier he has gone
He's gone and left his lovely Susan
For to sigh and for to mourn
Now Susan's parents did despise her
Which filled her heart with grief and woe
So she dressed herself in man's apparel
And for a soldier she did go
Next morning she was exercising
Exercising with her bow
Her bonny jacket did fly open
And for a woman she was known
One of the officers stepped up to her
Asking her as how she came
"I've come in search of one of your soldiers,
One of whom I dearly love"
"If you've come in search of one of my soldiers
Pray tell me the young man's name"
"The young man's name is William Taylor,
Straight from Dublin town he came"
"Oh if you'll rise early next morning
Early 'fore the break of day
'Tis there you'll spy bold William Taylor
Walking with his lady gay"
So she rose early next morning
Early 'fore the break of day
And there she spied bold William Taylor
Walking with his lady gay
A brace of pistols she did call for
And they were brought at her command
She fired and shot bold William Taylor
With his bride on his right arm
He rolled over and she rolled under
He fell onto his left side
That's how she killed bold William Taylor
For she should have been his bride

Dragon's Den

Down the path to dragon's den
Over stones and through the glen
On the bridge before the door
Freezing water underfloor
Down the river we will wade
Dappled sunlight through the shade
In the dusk before the fire
Sparks are climbing ever higher
On the sand and on the rocks
With the salt a world unlocks
There is comfort in the wind
In the freedom that it brings
Pool of purple, pool of green
This is our place of dreams
And the garden - laughter bright
Smell of herbs that coat the night
Down the path to dragon's den
Over stones and through the glen
On the bridge before the door
Freezing water underfloor
Down the river we will wade
Dappled sunlight through the shade
In the dusk before the fire
Sparks are climbing ever higher
